School Dinners
The school uses SchoolGrid, an online system for ordering and paying for school meals.
What You Need to Do
You will receive a welcome email directly from SchoolGrid when you enroll at Adel Primary School.
This email will contain instructions on how to activate your account and create your password.
To set up your SchoolGrid account, the school will securely share the necessary parent and pupil information with SchoolGrid. You can view SchoolGrid’s Privacy Policy here (copy and paste into your browser):

Ordering Meals
- Meals can be ordered daily, weekly or even on a termly basis.
- You can also make a same-day order up to 8.55am.
If your child receives free school meals, you must still place the order through SchoolGrid.
Paying for Meals
If you pay for school meals, there are two payment options:
- Card Top-Up
Add credit to your account using your debit or credit card. - Direct Debit
- Payments are collected monthly in arrears.
- The amount may vary depending on the number of meals taken.
- Yu will receive a statement two weeks before the payment is collected. This will confirm the exact amount, the collection date, and the meals included.
Meal Prices
Nursery - £2.40
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 – free under the Universal Infant Free School Meal Initiative
Years 3 ,4 ,5 and 6 - £2.83

To place a meal order, your account must either have sufficient credit or an active Direct Debit. If not, you will receive a reminder message, and you will be unable to complete the order.
Cancellations
If your child will not be taking their meal, please remember to cancel the order on SchoolGrid. If you do not cancel, you may still be charged. Cancelling also helps us reduce food waste.
