Please ensure your child comes to school with sun cream already applied and brings a bottle of water.

We explored the lifecycles of frogs, sunflowers and chicks. We learnt how the lifecycle is one big circle. We explored it through observations of creatures, pictures and dance. It was lots of fun!

Minibeast Hunt

We have had lots of fun exploring our Outdoor area and looking for minibeasts.

We also made a wormery for the worms to live in.

Our theme this half term is...….

Let's celebrate

What a busy half term we have had. We looked at how the Hindu festival of Diwali is celebrated. We created a Diwali pattern on the playground with the whole school. It was amazing! A drone came over to film it from above and the children were very excited to be a part of this.

It was so exciting to watch the drone fly over us!
We also planned a surprise birthday party for Mrs Cordingley. We made invitations, birthday cards, presents, cakes and decorations in readiness for the big day. Mrs Cordingley came to join us for some dancing and lots of fun! What an exciting party we had!

Jolly phonics phase 2

These are the phase 2 Jolly Phonics songs and actions we are learning in school, have a go at home!

Our topic this half term will be......

'Marvellous Me'

We will begin by ensuring all of the children settle in happily, and will then explore how we have changed since being a baby, the features of our bodies and our senses.

The classroom is looking brilliant and we are really excited for everyone to come and join us!

We have had an amazing half term, meeting new friends and teachers, looking at how we have changed since we were babies and painting self portraits. We finished the theme with a Wow Day celebrating all that is Marvellous about us! What fun!
