We have tadpoles! Have a look outside in the murky pond water and see what is living in the fish tank with our tadpoles. Look at the tadpoles carefully, can you see their legs growing?

Over the Easter holidays our butterflies hatched! Mrs Smith very kindly took the chrysalises home. She looked after them and when they hatched she took some photographs to show us and a little video of when she released them into the wild. Look out for them!

Watch Mrs Smith let the butterflies fly away!

We really enjoyed our 'come and calculate morning' today in Nursery with lots of number activities both inside and outside.

Our caterpillars have now entered the chrysalis stage in their cycle.

Our walk to the conservation area, looking for signs of spring.

We are looking for signs of spring in the nursery and we need your help! We have been on a walk to our conservation area and found buds and catkins on the trees and a wiggly worm. Please look out for signs of spring on your walk to school and whenever you are out and about! We will send home this sheet with your child this week. Thank you!

Our very hungry caterpillars! Have you seen how much they have grown?

You are very welcome to look at your child's profile when you are in nursery, your child will be able to show you where they are and often look through themselves!

On Friday 6th February Nursery had a visit from Cookridge Fire Station. The fire fighters were fantastic. They showed us their fire engine with all its special equipment, let us go inside the fire engine and try on a helmet, we even sprayed the hose! A huge thank you to Red Watch!

This week we had a visit from Tina Roberts from Forest School Plus. Tina came to Nursery to build some dens, play in our mud kitchen and make a fire. Tina cooked some pop corn on the fire, it was very exciting! We all stood safely away from the fire behind the tires. After we had tidied up we went inside to eat the popcorn and warm up with a hot chocolate. What a super afternoon!

Mud Kitchen! Thank you to everyone who has donated items for our mud kitchen. The children are enjoying making a variety of different dishes such as curry, chocolate cake, special soup and ice cream! There is no limit to their imagination and they are continually making fabulous concoctions!

We love to play and learn!
