Our topic this half-term is
The Great Outdoors
We shall enjoy being explorers making discoveries about nature and our surroundings: a mini-beast hunt, den building and sunny day challenges are a few of the activities that we have planned. We are hoping too that the fairies and elves and Gruffalo will be visiting the Nature Conservation Area.
As it is Summertime we will want to find out about the seaside and talk about our trips out and about. We will also be tending to our seedlings and hopefully harvesting lots of vegetables as part of the 'Let's get growing' project.
Dora the Explorer and her friend Diego took us on lots of adventures to different lands. These included Antarctica, Dinosaur World, the Jungle, Pirate Island and Space. We enjoyed finding out about these different places.
If your family are having to self-isolate at home then you will find below some useful resources to support your child's learning.
The main thing for our young children is that they can be active and learning through play and exploring their interests, as well as spending time with you and other family members chatting and engaging in fun games and activities.
